Meet Dr. Ritu Kumar

Dr. Kumar will go the extra mile to help her patients feel as comfortable as possible!

Dr. Kumar wakes up every morning excited to go to work. From a very early age, the fundamental values of helping others in need were instilled in her. It only takes one visit to see her energy and passion for dentistry!

She was born in Iran, in a family of physicians, who traveled the world to help people in need. This included living in England, India and US. She finally settled in Montreal, Canada in 2010. In year 2020, she moved from the east coast and made Vancouver her home!

Dr. Kumar holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s in Biochemistry; Master’s in Public Health and a combined Management degree from University of California, Los Angeles. Both her older siblings are also dentists and this further motivated her to pursue her Doctor of Dental Medicine at McGill (2016). Later, to provide more comprehensive care to her patients, she went on to complete an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at New York College of Dentistry in Manhattan

Dr. Edward Lawson

Dr. Lawson was born and raised in Vancouver, BC. He received his BSc. in Human Physiology and graduated from UBC Dentistry in 1993.

After graduation, Dr. Lawson practiced at his own clinic for 25 years in Hope and Chilliwack. He now has chosen to be closer to home in Burnaby.

A passionate and dedicated professional, Dr. Lawson attends numerous continuing education courses to keep current with the latest developments in dentistry. However, Dr. Lawson’s focus has always been to develop long term, meaningful relationships with patients.

When not at the office, he enjoys fitness, playing hockey and spending time with his wife and sons.

Dr. Vik Sharma

Dr. Vik Sharma is a North Burnaby native, receiving his bachelor’s degree in kinesiology from Simon Fraser University in 2008 before earning his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of British Columbia in 2013. He spent the next five years practicing in a rural clinic in Yellowknife helping those in need without access to regular dental care.

From working on medically compromised patients with ages ranging from 3-90 in a hospital setting to providing urgent care to patients in correctional facilities, his experience in Yellowknife gave him valuable dental experience and life-changing insight into the human condition.

Dr. Sharma returned to his hometown to help serve the community that raised him. He looks forward to forming new relationships and continuing his lifelong journey in search of the latest dental technology and techniques. Dr. Sharma loves educating patients about the connection between oral health and their overall health. He finds the ability to improve a patient’s life after a simple 5-minute conversation empowering.

Dr. Kory Zadeh

Dr. Zadeh has called Vancouver home since a young age. After earning a Bachelor of Science in Cell Biology and Genetics from UBC, Dr. Zadeh pursued a Master’s degree before completing dental school. During her time in dental school, she gained extensive experience working in public dental hospitals and spent time rurally, serving a diverse range of patients and providing general dental care.

Passionate about patient care, Dr. Zadeh strives to make each visit comfortable and educational, helping patients make informed decisions about their oral health. She is also committed to ongoing learning and regularly takes continuing education courses to stay at the forefront of the dental field.

Outside of work, Dr. Zadeh enjoys staying active, trying new recipes, and spending quality time with family, friends, and her dog in the great outdoors.

Dr. Zadeh speaks English and Farsi.
